Lisa Husseini Is New CEO of iCadenza

Dear iCadenza community,

As many of you know, a month ago Jennifer stepped down from the role of CEO to pursue her long-held creative dream. We asked longtime iCadenza team member, Lisa Husseini, to step up in leadership as Interim CEO as we crafted our plan for the future.

Now that we’ve been able to assess how to best continue supporting our team and clients, we are thrilled to announce that, effective immediately, Lisa Husseini will assume the role of CEO of iCadenza.

Lisa is a conservatory-trained musician with vast experience in nonprofit arts administration. Above all, she is passionate about empowering musicians to achieve their dreams.

Originally from Boston, Lisa received degrees in flute performance from The Hartt School and New England Conservatory. She has held administrative positions at the New England Conservatory, New World Symphony, and most recently served as General Manager for Seraphic Fire.

Throughout her work, Lisa has guided and supported thousands of musicians at all career stages. She has also helped numerous arts organizations identify and address the internal problems that hold them back from a profitable and effective trajectory.

Now living in Miami, Lisa has served on committees with the College Music Society, she has pursued continued studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and Harvard University, and was named a Miami Leader in 2016.

While Lisa’s resume and accomplishments are no doubt impressive, it is our experience working with her over the last 2.5 years that gives us absolute confidence that Lisa is a perfect fit for this role.

Her dedication to the work of supporting musicians and the performing arts community, her commitment to her own growth and to the growth of our clients and team, and her incredible intuition and empathy will make her an exemplary leader for iCadenza.

This period of transition has provided an amazing moment for reflection, collaboration, and creativity. We, with Lisa, have looked towards the past to use it as a guide for what our future might bring.

What has resulted is an unwavering belief shared by our entire team that iCadenza’s next chapter holds incredible promise and opportunity, for our organization and for the artists we serve.

iCadenza’s mission is to help individuals in the arts achieve their dream careers. As the founders of iCadenza, we’ve applied this value not just to our clients but to our team as well. We couldn’t be prouder to use this moment of transition to empower our team to step up in leadership.

As founders, there is nothing more rewarding than having a team of individuals who are so brilliant and dedicated, and whom we can trust so completely. We know that iCadenza will flourish in new and wonderful ways under Lisa’s leadership as CEO, and in partnership with our Director of Operations, Patrick Fulton; Artist Project Leader, Sarah Robinson; Content Strategist, Adrianne Munkacsy; and Community Manager, Chrysanthe Tan.

While we will both continue to be involved as coaches and consultants on the team and as advisors to the company (with Julia maintaining a more active role as President), we are also excited to explore how we can best serve iCadenza as advisors and as champions of the team.

Please give a warm welcome to Lisa as the new CEO of iCadenza, and stay tuned for opportunities to connect with her so that you can learn about her vision for the future of iCadenza.

With gratitude and excitement,
Jennifer and Julia
